Community Leadership
Opportunities for community members to share lived experience and shape the systems of care that affect their families.
Community-Led. Family-Centered. Rooted in Accountability.
Every family deserves to feel seen, heard, respected, and supported throughout pregnancy, birth, parenthood, and reproductive healthcare.
We’re a growing community of parents, birth workers, advocates, healthcare partners, and neighbors building a future where healthcare is shaped with community — not simply for it. In partnership with UCSF ZSFG, our Community Accountability Board keeps that work rooted where it belongs: with the people it serves.

Communities deserve a seat at the table from the very beginning.
The People’s Collective began with a simple conviction: the people who receive care should help shape it. We bring together lived experience, cultural wisdom, and collaborative partnerships to build systems of maternal, reproductive, and early-family health that truly serve the families they’re meant for.
To restore community-centered care to the heart of maternal, reproductive, and early-family health — by cultivating trusted relationships, honoring lived experience, and creating opportunities for community voices to shape the systems that impact our lives.
A future where every family experiences healthcare with dignity, respect, transparency, and belonging — where community is valued as an equal partner, not simply consulted.
The Community Accountability Board is one way we do this work — a bridge between families and the systems meant to care for them.
